040 - The Evolution of American Western Art
Western Art is often seen as distinctly American, shaped by the nation’s history of westward expansion. The art both portrayed and influenced America's perception of the West and its people. As views about the West have evolved to include diverse voices, so too has Western Art. This class examines how Western Art developed from a tool for exploration into a medium that reflects new perspectives on the American experience.   (Class limit:  50)
