012 - Astrophotography: A Beginner’s How-To Guide
Do you marvel at the night sky? Ever thought about photographing the stars? In this “how to" class, Garrison Turner will explain the equipment and processing techniques needed to generate pictures of the night sky. The lecture will explain what’s available, what’s important, and where to concentrate on quality equipment.

This class has two separate sessions with different attendance limits. Astrophotography: A Beginner‘s How To Guide is a lecture on the equipment and processing requirements associate with astrophotography. The second session, Astrophotography: Demonstration at Grand Mesa Observatory, is a tour of the observatory followed by an astrophotography demonstration. Attendance for the tour and demonstration is limited to 15 because of parking and observatory space limitations. You must register for the lecture class to be eligible for the observatory tour and demonstration. In order for your tour registration to go through, you must be registered in the lecture class.   (Class limit:  60)
