042 - Excellence in Outdoor Education - A Tour
Tour the Outdoor Wilderness Lab (OWL). It is an outdoor science school owned and operated by Mesa County Valley School District 51. The participants are students from the elementary, middle, and high schools in Mesa County.

It is located at 450 Wildwood Drive on the Redlands. It’s close to Grand Junction but offers a feeling of being out in nature. The site includes deer, turkeys, and other wildlife, and is in close proximity to the Liberty Cap trail system. A pond and numerous and varied landscapes all add to the feeling that you are out in a rural atmosphere. OWL’s unique learning environment invites students to explore the natural world around them with curiosity and critical thinking at every turn!

This tour takes place outside so please dress for the weather.   (Class limit:  50)
