004 - The American Bicentennial Everest Expedition
This class is a description of the 1976 American Everest Expedition, the second American expedition to Mt. Everest that saw the 6th (Bob Cormack) and 7th (Chris Chandler) Americans (and the 55th and 56th humans) reach the top of the mountain. This was a decade before Nepal opened the mountain to essentially an unlimited number of people each year and the talk will stress the differences between what we experienced and had to do, and what happens today.   (Class limit:  50)
